Would you consider helping the poor this Lent?
Every time you put a donation in the clear box at the Altar rail of St. Paul Church during Lent, a purple cross will be hung on one of the Lenten trees in the sanctuary as a symbol of our parish commitment to good works. We encourage donors to write an intention on the cross as well.
The cross symbolizes not only your material gift, but the gift of your solidarity with the weak and the poor, and our love and concern for those who struggle every day with life’s basic needs! At the end of our Lenten journey, whatever donations are collected in this box will be set aside and given to the Immacare Shelter in Hartford.
It is always amazing to see these Lenten trees come to life each Lent, blooming and blossoming with our love and concern for others.
