A message from Jon Sozek, Director of Faith Formation

After much discernment and prayer, I have made the decision to step down from the role of Director of Faith Formation effective May 1, 2021. My responsibilities have been growing at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, where I teach in the Philosophy and Religion Department. To make this change at this time seems in the best interest of all: of the parish, the college, my family, and myself.

It has been a singular pleasure and privilege to work with everyone in our parish over the past four years. Our Faith Formation programs are on strong footing, even now after a year of this pandemic. As we move into a new period of post-Covid programs this fall, I know that the positive energy and quality learning environment we have all worked to establish will only continue to grow.

I am working with both Mrs. Ann Poker, Program Coordinator, and Mrs. Donna Berger, Youth Minister, to outline a plan for next year. Of course, we are also engaged in a search for a new Director of Faith Formation. Please expect news on that front in not too long. Wishes and blessings to everyone in this Easter season, and thank you, thank you for the opportunity to serve our parish.
