REVISED Confirmation Preparation Calendars Now Available

The Faith Formation Program Calendars are developed over the summer months for the upcoming year. Extensive effort is put forth to avoid scheduling sessions during mid-term exams, school vacations, major school events, etc. Believe it or not, we also avoid scheduling a session on Super Bowl Sunday. Well, if the last two and a half years have taught us anything, it is the ability to adapt to change. As it turns out, 2022 is the first year since 2003 that Super Bowl Sunday is not the first Sunday in February. Instead, Super Bowl LVI is being held on the second Sunday in Feb. (Feb. 13), which conflicts with an original date for one of our monthly sessions. As such, we are cancelling the Grade 9 and Grade 10 Confirmation sessions on Feb. 13.  

For our grade 9 teens, we are adding one additional session on Sun. Mar. 13 from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.

For our grade 10 teens, we are extending the times of the Small Group Confirmation Gatherings rather than trying to fit in a make-up Sunday session. The two gatherings on Saturdays, Feb. 5 and Feb. 26, will now run from 4 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.  Teens will attend the Vigil Mass together from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m., followed by a gathering in the Library from 5 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. The two gatherings on Sundays, Feb. 6 and Feb. 27, will now run from 11:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  Teens will attend the 11:15 a.m. Mass together as a group followed by a gathering in the Library from 12:15 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

I wanted to bring to your attention one additional point – the event scheduled for Tuesday, Mar. 8. Each Confirmation teen should plan to attend with at least one parent. The event will run from 7 – 8:30 p.m., and Father Mark is presenting. I am confident you will find it a rewarding night for both you and your teen.

Lastly, the revised Confirmation Program Calendar for Grade 9 and Grade 10 are now available. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support in ensuring your teen attends all the remaining sessions. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
