Deacon Michael and Krystyna Ward of Saint Josephine Bakhita Parish in Rocky Hill are hosting a pilgrimage to Italy on April 18-26, 2024 — visiting Orvieto, Assisi, Rome, and Subiaco, and folks from SS. Isidore and Marian Parish are welcome to join us!
Stops include:
- The famous cathedral in Orvieto, the medieval city of Assisi (home of Saint Francis),
- The major sights and all the major pilgrimage churches and basilicas of Rome, including the Colosseum and Forum, the Vatican, including Saint Peter’s, the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums, with a Papal Audience,
- St. John Lateran, St Mary Major, the Pantheon, the Catacombs of Callixtus and concluding our pilgrimage with a visit to St. Scholastica Abbey, the oldest Benedictine monastery in the world at Subiaco outside Rome.
Deacon Michael and Krystyna Ward are also offering an educational series on St. Francis and St. Benedict to be offered before the pilgrimage!
This promises to be an enriching experience that will deepen our faith, visiting places and living memories important to the Catholic faith. If this has been on your “To-Do” or “Bucket” list for years, this is your moment!! Friends and family are welcome to join us!!!
