ImmaCare October Dinner Needs Volunteers!

A van full of food and supplies was picked up on Thurs., Sept. 7, for the ImmaCare Outreach program. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Our donations supplement the sandwiches that are distributed each day. Since this program has virtually no funding, an acute need exists for these items. Our next collection date is Thurs., Oct. 5.

Thank you also to everyone who helped in numerous ways to provide a nourishing dinner to people experiencing homelessness at the ImmaCare shelter Fri. Sept. 8. As always, the men at the shelter expressed their appreciation for the abundant and delicious assortment of food. Our next dinner is Fri., Oct 13. Volunteers are needed to assist.

Please contact Marisa Howard (howarrs@cox.net) as soon as possible if you want to contribute to the dinner. DONORS: Please leave your items in the St. Augustine Church kitchen and lower church clearly marked for ImmaCare Shelter Dinner, or you can drop them off by 5 p.m. on Fri, Oct. 13. We will leave promptly at 5:05 p.m. to deliver the food. If you donate a perishable item, please do not drop it off before Thursday afternoon (Oct. 12). ImmaCare has asked us to remind all of our volunteers that if you are providing a cooked item to PLEASE make sure it is cooked through!

Thank you for your generosity! It is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Marisa at howarrs@cox.net or 860-205-7139.
