Pastoral Council Snapshot from the Sept. 10, 2024 Meeting:
-
Mary Helmlinger, Parish Ministry Coordinator, provided an update on the work undertaken since last spring to define and identify parish ministries. Work is underway to reorganize some ministries with overlapping activities and create new ministries as needed. An informational brochure about our parish ministries will be available later this week. Our focus will now turn to volunteer recruitment of new and existing parishioners. Mary will speak about these efforts at all Masses on October 12/13.

There has been a steady increase in contacts from people who have been away from the Church and are now interested in receiving sacraments for themselves and family members. These individuals report events in their lives that triggered a sense of “there’s got to be more,” and they have found their way to our parish. We are addressing this need with evangelization efforts such as the Welcome Home event on September 29 and the RCIA group commencing this fall. The council will be continuing discussions on how our parish can meet the needs of individuals re-engaging with the Church.
The current Pastoral Council Members are Terry Bedard, Donna Berger, Deacon Bill Dziatko, Kim Franklin, David Garrido-Cid, Rob Gingras, Megan Grindle, Mary Kate Hallisey, Sarah Johnson, Brittany Solony, Tod Umbach, Damien Walsh, and Deacon Steve Weaver.
The Pastoral Council meets regularly to consider and discuss our parish’s Pastoral and Spiritual needs. Click here to share your thoughts with the Pastoral Council.
