As our parish Lifelong Faith Formation process continues to grow and improve, we need additional parishioners willing to take on the responsibility of sharing our Faith with others. It takes the work of many to make lifelong faith formation possible. If you are considering volunteers, contact Ted Musco at Ted@isidoreandmaria.org or 860-633-9419 for more information. For the following opportunities, all training will be provided. If you volunteered in the past, we will provide pastoral and catechetical updating.
- Catechists and catechetical aides for the next faith formation year, 2026-2027, since we will be expanding our offerings. The weekly commitment during the school year is approximately 3 hours per week, including preparation and meetings.
- Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) team members—many different roles, including small group leaders, catechists, mentors, social, etc.—The commitment is about 4 hours per month, October through May.
- Youth Group team members (Adults)—Youth Group is being formed—The commitment will vary each month but approximately 3 hours per mont,h including meetings.
- Youth Group team members (Teens 14-18 years old)—Youth Group is being formed. The commitment will vary each month, but will be approximately 3 hours per month, including meetings.
- In-Person Baptism Preparation associates—assist Mr. Musco with Baptism preparation once or twice per month. The commitment will vary each month, but will average approximately 3 hours per month, including meetings.
So far, the Office of Lifelong Faith Formation has about thirty volunteers serving in several different areas. Please pray for these folks and ask the Lord to bless us with more.
