Welcome to Youth Ministry!

What is Youth Ministry?

Youth Ministry is a community within SS. Isidore and Maria Parish where those in grades 8-12 can strengthen their relationship with Jesus through prayer, fellowship and service. The Office of Lifelong Formation is committed to creating this community for youth during this specific stage in their lives.

Do I need to be part of Faith Formation to attend?

No! We invite all to join. A formal registration for the 2026-2027 Youth Ministry year will begin in June. Until then we ask that you register for each event individually.

Please share all events with friends! We welcome all!

How often do we meet and what will we do?

Within each liturgical season (i.e. the Lenten season) a prayer event, fellowship meeting and service event will be offered. Other events, retreats and volunteer opportunities will be available throughout the year.

At prayer events, we will focus on different types of prayer such as Adoration, the Rosary, Bible study and more. During these events, we will have conversations centering around how we can be active Christians in our everyday life. At our fellowship meetings, we will have lots of food, games, and other activities themed around the liturgical season. Service events will focus on how we can be active members of the Parish and give back to our community. Examples include becoming Eucharistic Ministers and lectors, helping out within our family ministry (i.e. Nativity Pageant and Easter Egg Hunt) and more. We will also focus on outreach within the community, such as assisted living centers, soup kitchens, and toy drives. We welcome all ideas!

Is youth ministry connected to the youth music ministry?

Both ministries involve youth from our parish, though are separate in terms of leadership and goals. For more information on the parish youth music ministry, please email Tyme Baez.

What about events happening outside of the Parish itself?

As the Youth Ministry is being reestablished, we are looking to those who register to share what they would be most interested in beyond the walls of our Parish. This includes, but is not limited to, Steubenville East, National Youth Conferences, Retreats, Mission Trips and Walk for Life. We also invite any other ideas.

We ask for your prayers as we start up this initiative within the Parish. A reminder that a formal registration for the 2026-2027 year will begin in June and all events held until then will require an individual registration.
