Weekly Bible Study
Our weekly Bible Study is now entering its third year! We meet on Fridays from 2:45-3:45 p.m, via Zoom, for the moment, due to health considerations. All are welcome! You need only bring a Bible, or a copy of our text. There is no homework and there are no lectures. Our method is to read aloud one or two chapters per week, stopping after each section for discussion. Jon Sozek facilitates. Come when you can. Last year, we had 8-10 regular attendees.
Last year, we concluded with a reading of St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans. That is the last of St. Paul’s letters, chronologically, and the most theologically significant. This year, we’ll begin with a reading of his First Letter to the Thessalonians, his first extant letter, then work through all of his letters in chronological order. In past years, the group has read all four gospels, Acts, Revelation and the letters of John, and selections from Genesis and Exodus.
