“We believe that the life of those who believe in Jesus and follow his commandments will, after death, be transformed into new life, full and immortal.” – Pope Francis (1938 – 2025)
Dear Parishioners:
With sorrowful hearts, we remember Pope Francis, our beloved Holy Father. As we grieve his passing, we give thanks for his life of service and the ways he strengthened the Church through his example of Christ-like love.
Throughout his papacy, Pope Francis led the Church with deep faith, unwavering hope, and a generous love for all of God’s people. He called us to live the Gospel with humility and mercy, reminding the world of the dignity of every person—especially the poor, the vulnerable, and the forgotten.
Pope Francis also stood as a global moral voice in times of division and uncertainty. He urged nations to work for peace, dialogue, and justice. With his groundbreaking encyclical Laudato Si’, he awakened the world’s conscience to the sacredness of creation and the urgent need to care for our common home.
As we grieve his passing, we give thanks for his courageous witness, his joyful spirit, and his tireless commitment to building a more just and compassionate world.
Let us pray for the repose of his soul: Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
In Christ,
Father Mark
