Assuring the Parish’s Financial Stability and Growth

As has been my custom, I believe in the transparent reporting of all finances to you, our parishioners. With that in mind, I have what I believe to be fantastic news regarding two major transactions involving SS. Isidore and Maria Parish.

The Parish currently owns a 10-acre parcel of land at the corner of Welles St. and Naubuc Ave. that has been vacant and unused for many years. With approval from the Archdiocese of Hartford, we have contracted for the sale of this property to the Town of Glastonbury in the amount of $1.75 million.

Additionally, the Parish has negotiated a shared municipal parking lot agreement with the Town of Glastonbury for the lot directly behind St. Paul Church. This will allow visitors to the Town of Glastonbury to have a convenient place to park for conducting business on Main Street, sharing rides to and from work, and other municipal functions. The Parish will share most of the parking lot expenses with the Town of Glastonbury.

Both of these transactions are pending approval by the Glastonbury Town Council.

Assuring the financial growth and security of SS. Isidore and Maria Parish is an important part of my role as your pastor. I am certain that these transactions will help us to achieve financial stability and growth for our Parish for years to come.
