News outlets and social media sites are filled with dire stories of the pandemic’s effect on the mental health of individuals, particularly children, adolescents, and young adults.
A year ago, SS. Isidore and Maria Parish launched its Mental Health Ministry. The purpose was – and continues to be – working toward an environment where people living with mental illness and their supportive family and friends can meet, share their experiences with others, and grow spiritually closer in their relationship with God.
On the weekend of Jan. 8 and Jan. 9, volunteers from the ministry will be available in the South Wing of St. Paul Church after every Mass to provide information and answer questions about our work. We’re also seeking additional volunteers to help us carry out this vital mission.
