In July 2021, I communicated to you information regarding the pending sale of a 10-acre parcel of land owned by the parish at the corner of Welles Street and Naubuc Avenue to the Town of Glastonbury. I am pleased to report that this transaction was completed on Feb. 11, 2022. Here is a full accounting of the sale:
Paid by Town of Glastonbury: $1,750,000.00
Paid to the Archdiocese of Hartford: -$84,979.87
Closing fees: -$503.15
Net proceeds received by the parish: $1,664,516.98
Assuring the financial growth and security of SS. Isidore and Maria Parish are essential parts of my role as your pastor. I am confident that this transaction will help us to achieve financial stability and growth for our parish for years to come.
