Glastonbury Chapter of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul closes

On Nov. 15, our parish was notified by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul that it has chosen to permanently close its Glastonbury Chapter, which has been housed at St. Paul Church for many years. The parish and those served by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul are indebted to the many volunteers who gave their time, talents, and resources to this worthy effort over the years. As a result of this decision, we are putting a hiatus on food collections for the food pantry that was located here. We are working with local organizations, including the Town of Glastonbury, to ensure that the basic needs are met for those in our community who need assistance. Once actual needs are determined, you will be notified of ways you can help! Please note that the collection of food donations for ImmaCare’s Outreach program will continue.

While this development saddens us, our parish remains committed to assessing community needs for life’s basics and working with our staff, parishioners, and community partners to provide for those needs.
