May 13: Mental Health 101

May is Mental Health Month and SS. Isidore and Maria Parish invites you to our next session of Mental Health 101 on Mon., May 13 at 6:30 p.m. It features parishioner Thomas Burr, who serves as the Public Policy & Affiliate Relations Manager at NAMI Connecticut. He’ll define mental health and mental illness, and talk about:

• The role of trauma in mental health
• The impact of stigma
• How to maintain good mental health
• How to identify someone who may be struggling
• What to say, and what to do, and available resources
• Latest research and treatment options
• The intersection of mental health, faith, and spirituality
