“Jesus in his very simple commandment sees as the basis of all of God’s kingdom the power of love: love God, love, neighbor, and love self.
It is in and through the connecting of those loves that one lives in the presence of God. And so in essence, he tells us and instructs us what you do to the least of my brothers and sisters, you do to me. How we treat a neighbor is a direct reflection upon God himself. And so you can’t separate out your human relationships from your relationship with God. They’re all combined and interconnected. There’s this intertwining power of love that infiltrates and connects everything in our lives.”
