To Our Ushers: Danke. Gracias. Dziękuję Ci. Grazie. Thank you.

I want to take a moment to extend my sincerest gratitude to the volunteer ushers of SS. Isidore and Maria Parish for their extraordinary service to our community during the coronavirus pandemic.

Since the limited reopening of public worship last July, the workload of the ushering team has grown tremendously. Despite the added workload and the ever changing situation, this dedicated group of men and women prioritized the health and safety of all attending Mass.

The tasks added to their “ministry of hospitality” during this period have included (but are not limited to): ensuring the proper wearing of face masks by all, adherence to social distancing protocols, making certain the parish stayed within state-mandated COVID-19 capacity limits, and cleaning surfaces in adherence to COVID-19 prevention standards between and after all Masses and services.

Above all, they have continued to make each person walking through our doors feel welcomed and safe.

From ordinary Sundays to Confirmations to First Communions to Easter and Christmas, our ushering team has been the lynchpin to creating a safe environment in which to worship. I thank each of you, and may God bless you. – Father Mark
