If you have lost a spouse, please know that you are not alone.

Friendships and community are important as you look to pick up the pieces and move forward. In fact, we want to take this moment to let you know about a new opportunity at Ss. Isidore and Maria Parish that may be of interest and benefit to you: Widowed Helping Others (WHO).

The mission of WHO is to offer a compassionate and supportive community within the Church where Catholic widows and widowers are able to associate with others who have had the same experiences. This ministry strives to respond to the call of Pope Francis who has stated, “…pastoral care is necessary to help the grieving person to realize that, after the loss of a loved one, they still have a mission to carry out.”

WHO welcomes men and women of all ages and all stages of life who have lost a spouse. Sharing with others where you are at this stage of life benefits both you and them, and provides an opportunity to create new friendships with people who have traveled this road. Won’t you join us?
